Mather AFB / EWO

Mather took over EWO training from Keesler in Jan 1962 using the TC-54 Aircraft.

Mid-1967...Mather received all Wild Weasel EWO lead-in training for rear seat F4C from TAC.

Oct 67-Oct 68 : ATC trained 47 EWO's specifically for ADC (EC-121 aircraft) to support South East Asia operations.

Jan 67-May 69:ATC trained 310 EWO's specifically for EB-66 duty in S.E.A.

May 1971 - ATC awards Boeing the contract for the T-43 to replace the T-29.

July 1986 - All students enter SUNT (Specialized Undergraduate Navigator Training). All would receive a 65-day Common Core training course and then would be selected for one of three tracks.

EWO Class patches began with class  80-01.
